Happy New Month Everyone.

Life has in the last few weeks taken a turn that we did not anticipate and all of us are responding to these events in so many ways; stress, fright, anxiety, substance abuse and so much more. A lot of negative things have happened and will continue to happen for some time to come, but amid all this there is always a blessing available for God's people.

In the Bible in Ephesians 6:10, Paul, while in prison, puts together final thoughts in a letter to the people of Ephesus. Having gone through his own kinds of crises; in the forms of persecution and imprisonment, he has some advise on how a Christian should stand both in faith and practice regardless of the problems in the community. He says, My brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Strength in time of weakness can only be drawn from a source that is full of strength. For example, when one is broke, they look to someone who is stable financially, to assist; or when one is drowning, they cannot clinch to something weighty, but something that can help to keep afloat.
It is important to realize that God is not in crisis when we are in crisis. If He were, then we would not be able to depend on His strength.

Dear Lord, thank you that you are strong regardless of our situations. Help us to be strong in you and to rely on on the power of your might for you cannot fail us. In Jesus' name.

Blessed week ahead.
